Serbian Business Registers Agency – Amendments to the Law on Registration Procedures

The Ministry of Economy has informed all interested parties that, in accordance with the amendments to the Law on Registration Procedures in the Serbian Business Registers Agency from 2021, starting from 18 May 2023, applications for the establishment of a company will be submitted exclusively to the Serbian Business Registers Agency (“SBRA“), electronically.

The adoption of these amendments was initiated by the Ministry of Economy, and according to them, the SBRA is obliged to consider only those applications that are submitted in electronic form, which coincides with the concept of e-Government and digitalization of business in Serbia, which the Government of the Republic of Serbia has been emphasizing in recent years.

By establishing this system, the submission of applications for company establishment will no longer be possible in paper form.

Precisely because of this, conditions will be created to reduce the costs and time required to establish a company, as well as conditions to reduce the time required for processing requests by the SBRA, which will also contribute to greater efficiency.
